Your account provides simple website traffic statistics for novice webmasters, and advanced statistics for more experienced publishers.
Your account can track the activity of your visitors in two different ways. Use the method that suits you best, or use them both, it's up to you.
Our Simple Stats system is designed to show you basic visitor traffic information at a glance, while the Advanced stats feature provides much more data for webmasters who are more experienced, or just more curious.
Simple Stats
Simple Stats keeps a record of the number of unique visitors to your site. You also can see which page your visitors used to enter your site.
You can see this data by the day, by the month, and/or a summary of all months traffic compared side by side.
The Simple Stats system is well, simple. It's good for users who want to monitor traffic patterns at a glance, without puzzling over pages of confusing data tables.
The Simple Stats system is built in to your account and requires no setup or configuration on your part.
We'll email you a quick summary of your traffic every Monday morning.
Advanced Stats
Your account will also show you how to connect your site to a free outside web site statistics company that provides a more complete record of your traffic history.
Using Advanced Stats has the additional benefit of storing your stats data at a third party site, so you wouldn't lose your stats data if you did in the future decide to move to another host.
The Advanced Stats you will receive for your site can be very useful.
You'll learn things about your site like:
What are your most popular pages?
What pages bring people in to your site?
Where did your visitors come from?
What keywords did they use to find you in the search engines?
What sequence of pages did they visit as they traveled through your site.
How long did they stay on your site?
How many page loads did you get today, this week, this month, this quarter?
How many unique visitors did your site receive today, this week, this month, this quarter?
How many visitors are returning for a 2nd visit?
Where are your visitors located geographically?
What ISP are they using?
What browser are they using, and what operating system?
Again, this service is free, and we'll provide you with a step by step tutorial for setting it up.
You don't need any special skills, you just fill out a few forms, and then copy and paste some code in to the Stats Panel within your account.
